Bosch and Bühler make the food industry smart

Bühler and Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions will expand their research and development partnership to integrate Bosch MEMS sensors into food production technology. In the future, process solutions and services will improve yield and performance at reduced operating costs for customers. “We are excited to extend our partnership with Bühler, a major industry specialist and leading company in the field of food processing technologies,” said Thorsten Müller, CEO of Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions.

Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions presents Transport Data Logger and IoT Development Kit

Hanover/Reutlingen – With the launch of the Transport Data Logger (TDL) at Hanover Fair, Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions brings transparency into the entire supply chain. By being attached to the shipment of sensitive industrial goods, e.g. industrial machines, and recording relevant measured parameters such as temperature, humidity, tilt, and shock, the TDL makes the delivery process visible and traceable.

Bosch helps drivers find the perfect parking space

Stuttgart, Germany – The perfect parking space is situated close to where a driver wants to go, offers enough space for their car – and is unoccupied. To find that parking space, however, can be extremely frustrating – especially in urban areas. In Germany, the average search for a suitable free parking space takes ten minutes.

Bosch’s Smart Home Vision:
Broadening Market Scope through One Single Platform

Smart home is one of Bosch’s promising business domains. Bosch has been making aggressive movements toward smart homes by introducing smart home solutions for home convenience, efficiency and security in 2015.

Five billion Bosch MEMS Sensors

Bosch provides sensors for a range of uses in the automotive and consumer electronics industries. For instance, MEMS sensors measure pressure, acceleration, rotary motion, mass flow, and the earth's magnetic field, and act as the sensory organs for cars or smart phones. Bosch has been producing these sensors for vehicles since 1995. A yaw-rate sensor that records the rotary moments around its vertical axis is at the heart of ESP, for example, and today each modern vehicle is home to up to 50 MEMS sensors.

Stuttgart, Germany – Bosch will demonstrate MEMS sensors technology in action at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas. Bosch Sensortec and Akustica, subsidiaries of Bosch, the world’s largest supplier of MEMS sensors, each provide smart MEMS sensors and solutions to the world’s top consumer electronics manufacturers.

Strong sales growth in every business sector

Stuttgart – The Bosch Group has started the new year with a good increase in sales. In the first quarter, sales grew by roughly 7 percent. After adjusting for exchange-rate effects, the increase was roughly 10 percent. For the current fiscal year, the global provider of technology and services expects its sales to grow 3 to 5 percent.

Tiny Bosch sensors for the connected life

Stuttgart/Las Vegas – Bosch is helping to build the internet of things and services one tiny sensor at a time. In future, many objects will report their status over the net, and this makes a range of new functions and business models possible. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Bosch will be presenting its tiny building blocks for connected living, along with possible applications.
