Interesting conversations with people from a wide variety of professional backgrounds is the reward in return for stress and aching legs at trade fairs and events. Moreover, you get immediate feedback for your products and additionally develop new ideas for future projects. In the end, you travel home inspired with a lot of great information as well as key learnings. Four different people share their experiences from Bosch ConnectedWorld 2018 in Berlin. Bosch ConnectedWorld is an annual event that celebrates the Internet of Things (IoT). Part of the whole experience is also a huge Internet of Things exhibition, a Meet-up stage, the hackathon Bosch ConnectedExperience and a lot of inspiring keynotes from opinion leaders in the industry.

“You could really experience how the Internet of Things will impact almost every aspect of business. One example is Salesforce and Bosch combining the power of IoT with customer engagement to provide not only supply chain transparency but also immediate actions when deviations occur. Thanks to the team that made this possible. I look forward to expanding these solutions and bringing value to more and more customers.”

Sarah Herrmann, Senior Sales Manager Mobility, Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions

“The Internet of Things will fundamentally change mobility - electrical, autonomous, and highly intelligent. Strong collaboration will be a must to be successful in the digital transformation. Overall, it can be said that Bosch ConnectedWorld 2018 was an inspiring experience and showed the present and the future of the Internet of Things."

Reiner Schmohl, Product Manager XDK and hackcoach at Bosch ConnectedExperience 2018

“We were especially proud to be able to support one of the hackathon’s winning teams and their brilliant idea of a swimming water pollution sensor. Eleven out of 20 teams of the connected life hackathon used the Cross Development Kit (XDK) and demonstrated its endless use cases. The variety of ideas for the use of XDK always surprises us at each new hackathon.”

Helge Blum, Project Manager German Insurance Association

“The Bosch Connected World was an exciting and enriching experience for me. It provided an insight into current trends of connectivity, especially in the automotive sector. A highlight for me was the exciting keynotes from Dr. Volkmar Denner, Chairman of the Bosch Board, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, as well as Dr. Frank Appel, CEO Deutsche Post AG. All three entertainingly illustrated the mega developments in their business areas.”
